Maths JEE - Advanced Previous Year Paper JEE-Advanced-2018-Paper-2 Single Correct MCQ
Published on: August 13, 2026

SECTION 3 (Maximum Marks: 12)

• This section contains FOUR (04) questions.

• Each question has TWO (02) matching lists: LIST - I and LIST - II.

• FOUR options are given representing matching of elements from LIST - I and LIST - II. ONLY ONE of these four options corresponds to a correct matching.

• For each question, choose the option corresponding to the correct matching.

• For each question, marks will be awarded according to the following marking scheme:

Full Marks: +3 If ONLY the option corresponding to the correct matching is chosen.

Zero Marks :0 If none of the options is chosen (i.e. the question is unanswered).

Negative Marks: -1 In all other cases.

The electric field E is measured at a point P(0, 0, d) generated due to various charge distributions and the dependence of E on d is found to be different for different charge distributions. List-I contains different relations between E and d. List-II describes different electric charge distributions, along with their locations. Match the functions in List-I with the related charge distributions in List-II.
